We would love to say that this stretch of the Taylor has actually been designated Gold Medal by the Colorado Wildlife Commission, but it has not - yet.  We are working to preserve this pristine fishing habitat by getting the "Gold Medal" signature.  When the Taylor River was tested a few years back, we were told that the entire Taylor River was at least four times gold medal and our 3/4 of a mile stretch was over ten times!  Our stocking program consists of stategically placing 100 trophy sized rainbows (trophy size would be two to three pound trout) on the first of the month in June, July and August in our stretch.  This ensures great fishing all summer long.  So come out and wet a line to see what all the hub-bub is about - you'll be happy you did!
